Classic styling, twin turbocharged, modern engine controls and ~800whp of pump gas power on tap -- for many of us, that's an absolute dream of a street car, and that perfectly describes Rick's 1966 Chevrolet Malibu!
Obviously, this car and the build is absolutely gorgeous, but had a few issues Rick wanted us to address, along with a custom calibration on the dyno. After a thorough mechanical inspection, Jeremy replaced the turbochargers with rebuilt units from Comp Turbo Technology, repaired various oil and power steering fluid leaks, repaired various turbocharger system and exhaust leaks, addressed various areas of the wiring, installed a new brake master cylinder form Tilton Engineering to address some less than desirable brake system performance, and prepared the vehicle for calibration.
With the Malibu now dyno ready, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via Holley EFI. The results? 775.44whp & 806.48lbft on 93 octane! We'd love to see what this beast would do with the race gas in the tank and boost set to kill.
