2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI – Reliability Mods

Subaru | WRX STI : May 25, 2021

It's not that often the older generations receive the much deserved love that the newer generations get. Take in account Brian's extremely well kept 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Sitting at just over 100k miles and finished in flawless, all original Urban Gray Metallic paint, this tastefully modified GD Hawkeye has survived the test of time, proving that with the right caretaker, the older generations can look just as good as the newest models.

While this Hawkeye has maintained a fairly stock life so far, reliability modifications are always encouraged, so Brian brought his car to turn it up a hair and to keep things running smoothly for some future track use. Modifications performed by us below:

COBB Tuning 3-port electronic boost control solenoid
COBB Tuning AccessPort V3
GrimmSpeed 3" FXT downpipe w/ high flow catalytic converter

With the mechanical work wrapped up in the shop by Andrew, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via COBB Tuning Accessport V3. With the stock turbocharger delivering ~19psi, Vlad increased the EJ257's output to a solid 313.61awhp & 336.05lbft!
