Brent brought us his stripped-down, Flex Fuel enabled, and gap insured (nitrous equipped) 2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS to get her dialed in and hooking up!
Up first in the shop, Andrew dropped the rear subframe to install Delrin rear cradle bushings & aluminum differential bushings from BMR Suspension, Pro Kit 15" conversion from Carlyle Racing including rotors & 4-piston brake calipers, Heim joint adjustable aluminum trailing arms & stabilizer arms, a 3,200rpm stall speed torque convert from Circle D Specialties, along with a few additions to the nitrous system from Nitrous Outlet.
Then, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom Flex Fuel calibration to dial in the existing setup, including an air-intake system from Roto-Fab, LLC, 2.00" primary OD long-tube headers from Stainless Works, along with a ported factory LT1 intake manifold & throttle body.
Starting with 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased output to 427.49whp & 442.20lbft, and after a quick fuel tank drain and refill, laid down 450.76whp & 471.23lbft on E85. Up next, with the stock LT1 pistons in mind, Matt set the nitrous system up to deliver 150 shot, and then Vlad proceeded with the calibration, increasing output to a repeatable 555.81whp & 605.84lbft, with a best run of 581.74whp & 632.54lbft!
