Another Whipple 3.0L equipped Hemi wrapped up and ripping! Back in May, Jim brought us his 2018 Dodge Challenger R/T for our Stage-3 NA package, and while the extra 80whp scratched the itch for a few months, it wasn't long before he was ready for more!
Shortly after, he got in on the pre-order for the new Whipple 3.0L. Fast forward a few months, and he ended up being our first 5.7L Hemi in the door for this killer supercharger system! Full setup below:
First round of work - Stage-3 NA package:
• Stainless Works Stainless Power 1.875" primary ID long-tube headers with high-flow catalytic converters
• COMP Cams Stage-2 HRT 273° camshaft
• COMP Cams phase limiter
• COMP Cams valve seats, valve seals, valve springs, valve retainers & locks
• Manley Performance Products, Inc. chromoly pushrods
• MDS delete utilizing OEM Mopar components
• OEM Hellcat lifters
• OEM Hellcat engine oil pump
• MotoRad 180° thermostat
Second round of work - Stage-2 Whipple Supercharged package:
• Whipple Superchargers Gen-V 3.0L W185RF twin-screw supercharger system
• Whipple Superchargers 4.00" upper supercharger pulley
• NGK Spark Plugs LFR6AIX-11 spark plugs
• MSD Performance fuel pump voltage booster
• All the miscellaneous OEM and aftermarket components to bring it all together
With the mechanical work wrapped up in the shop by Dylan, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With 93 octane in the tank and the 3.0L delivering only ~5.5psi, Vlad increased the 5.7L Hemi's output to 508.96whp & 476.66lbft!
